Concept: ten encyclopedic articles on open science
The Small Encyclopedia of Open Science aims at disseminating clear and comprehensive knowledge on ten key topics of Open Science by issuing ten encyclopedic articles combining several scattered sources like scientific publications, reports, bibliographic resources and data. Created by the French Committee for Open Science, it is a part of the French National Open Science Policy.
Conceived from the start as a digital commons, each article is published twice, as an encyclopedic article on this website and as an independently updated Wikipedia article. The Wikipedia version will evolve with the collective contribution system of the collaborative encyclopedia. The website version may include unpublished contributions, which are not allowed in Wikipedia. Furthermore, the encyclopedic articles on the website have slightly different design compared to the Wikipedia version.
